Safety and quality are words synonymous with Lorne Stewart Group and our industry-leading professional services have been recognised and endorsed by many organisations and quality standards agencies. Our long established Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards and we have also achieved accreditation to ISO 14001 Environment, ISO 45001, Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 27001 the standard for Information Security Management and more recently ISO 50001 the Energy Management standard.

Our regions are pushed to achieve conformance to policies and processes and are subjected to regular audits to ensure we maintain and improve our accreditations.


Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area.

Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.


CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers (those who provide goods and services) and to organisations (buyers) looking for suitably competent suppliers. CHAS Advanced meets both SSIP and PAS 91 standards. It’s a standardised PQQ (pre-qualification questionnaire) recognised across the construction industry, which saves you time and money on applications.


The JIB is the collective term for the partnership between the ECA and Unite as distinct from the administrative organisation which was created to carry out their joint decisions.

An Environmental Management System integrates environmental issues within existing management and operating systems to assure that environmental impacts are managed. ISO 14001 is an acceptable standard for an organisation’s certification of an Environmental Management System. The benefit of ISO 14001 is that it demonstrates that a company is managing its environmental performance in line with internationally accepted schemes.


This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 ensures we deliver good-quality products and services.


ISO 45001 certification makes a strong statement about our commitment to occupational health and safety. It signals that we care about our employees’ wellbeing and driving down workplace risks. Additionally it shows we are dedicated to continuous improvement in its practices.


NICEIC is the UK’s leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry. Electricians registered with NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards and their work is checked against the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671 as well as other standards.


BESA is the UK’s leading professional body for building engineering services contractors. For customers and clients it provides confidence that, when they appoint a B&ES member, the work will be done to specification, to the standards required, within the time-frame and the budget determined.


SMAS is recognised by all members of UKCG members as a safety standard that shows we have achieved one of the highest safety standards within the construction industry. This highlights our commitment to training our employees to ensure a continued safety culture and commitment in achieving zero accidents.


Achilles is an on line solution, a systematic supplier pre-qualification programme with data capture through online questionnaires that are then rigorously validated through a Achillies appointed assessment team and qualified auditor. The Achillies solution is used by our customers to validate selection of their supply chain in the pre-qualification process. It supports customer assessment of risk and compliance, giving consistency across the supply chain, including documents like insurance certificates, ISO9001, ISO14001, company registrations and financial records.


The APHC accreditation is reserved for plumbing and heating businesses that work to defined trading standards and have appropriate levels of insurance. Licensed members must ensure that only competent plumbers and heating engineers are employed to undertake plumbing and heating work.
