Chief Executive Officer for Lorne Stewart Engineering, Paul Briars commented: “As a Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Chartered Management Institute (CMI), as well as former President and Council Chair of IOSH, Jimmy brings with him a wealth of national and international experience in the field of Health and Safety Leadership.
Following a distinguished career in the military spanning 24 years, where he attained the rank of Warrant Officer, Jimmy has specialised in a career influencing positive health and safety cultures globally, through collaboration, empathy and trust.
His project experience includes leading Health & Safety on major complex projects in the Middle East, before returning to the UK to work on projects including The Broadway and One Nine Elms, London.
Jimmy is a s a prolific volunteer and British Ex-Forces in Business - Advocate of the Year 2021/22 and along with his involvement with Veteran charities including ProjectRECCE, a charity which supports the integration of Veterans into construction, he will play a key role in advancing our Advocate for the Armed Forces Covenant membership.
As we continue to expand our engineering, services and infrastructure delivery, we are delighted to be able to bring Jimmy on board and look forward to the difference he will make to the future of our already exemplary standards of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and ultimately, a culture of continued Zero Harm.”
