Lorne Stewart has been providing hard and soft FM services on behalf of Equitix to Lancashire Care Mental Health NHS Trust since 2000. We have successfully won three re-tenders, the latest being in 2015, to provide catering, cleaning and maintenance services across the Lancaster PFI portfolio. Consisting of six buildings across four sites throughout Lancaster and Morecambe the buildings incorporate clinics, office space and residential services to NHS metal health service users.
This specialist development centre is owned and operated by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and is the home of the UK’s fusion energy research programme, known as the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE), and is the world’s largest fusion energy experimental facility, JET (Joint European Torus) employing over
2,000 personnel at the centre.
Lorne Stewart Facilities, through their dedicated residential engineering team have secured both the contract renewal and an expansion of scope for the delivery of Planned Maintenance Services (PPM); corrective work requests (Reactive) & Projects Electrical & Mechanical Services until 2021.
The services provided include; Gas & Steam Boilers, Lifts, Water Treatment (Including Cooler Tower and L8), LTHW, Cranes, Water Risk Assessments, HV & LV, Man Safe Systems, Cooling Towers, Generators, Compressed Air, Door Maintenance, Fixed Wire, AC & Chiller, BMS, Lighting, CERM, Catering Equipment, Lightning Protection, Street Lighting and CCTV.

Lorne Stewart Facilitie’s main objective is to ensure the sites are kept safe and secure at all times by ensuring that all the routine maintenance needs of buildings are carried out through a wide range of regular scheduled maintenance activities carried out by our mobile work force.
We have been providing maintenance for Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield since 1998 and the site covers 70 acres in total with 82000 square meters of floor space, accommodating 850 beds. This facility provides both acute and community care services including three high security Mental Health Units. Our team of 31 provides a 24/7 maintenance services including;
HV/LV Electrical Installations, Mechanical Services, Building Fabric, Water Treatment and Management, Statutory Inspections, Lifts and Hoists, Air Conditioning, Building Management Systems, Medical Gases, CCTV and Security Systems, as well as Clinical Sterilisation Equipment.
We have been providing a 24/7 365 Mobile Solution to Muller Milk and its predecessor Dairy Crest for three years. Our Mobile Technicians provide Mechanical and Electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes, Reactive Maintenance Services, Building and Depot Fabric repairs, Lift and Dock Leveller and Compliance solutions.
Our national Coverage of Mobile Engineering technicians take ownership of the Depots and build long and sustainable relationships with Muller Operations Managers to provide an exceptional Customer Service.
Virgin Trains is one of the largest train operating companies in the UK, operating the West Coast Franchise since January 1997. They operate between Glasgow & Edinburgh down to London Euston calling at a total of 42 stations. Of the 42 stations, Virgin operate 17 and have facilities at a further 11 main stations.
Lorne Stewart Facilities provide planned and reactive M&E maintenance along with industrial and domestic cleaning across the network of rail stations on a 24/7/365 basis. We are contracted to provide domestic & industrial cleaning, Planned and Reactive Mechanical and Electrical maintenance, Building Fabric works and Grounds Maintenance to the station locations.
In addition to our maintenance and reactive duties our team provides a project and refurbishment service as required by the client. All M&E maintenance is provided on a planned and reactive basis 24/7/365 at all stations, as is gas appliance and all electrical installations.
Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust have engaged Lorne Stewart Facilities Division to deliver a five year contract providing cyclical maintenance (PPM) and response corrective repairs across their NHS Estate supporting circa 62 properties until 2019.
All properties supported are located across Torbay & Southern Devon and are extremely diverse in their community role. The scope of our delivery is very diverse due to the nature of the site, from maintenance and reactive works in very small community clinics to more larger complicated community hospitals. As these properties are all health related in their use, there is a stringent policy for attending site, communicating with the responsible person for the site and ensuring that our activities do not affect the day to day health care delivery that the NHS provide.
Cornwall Council have procured Hard Facilities Services to be delivered across their portfolio of commercial properties under a single source provider.This route has been taken in order to rationalise their supply chain and provide greater value for money. As a new venture,bespoke IT software requirements have been provided by Lorne Stewart via our in-house iMS system.The benefits of this bespoke solution delivers real-time execution of both reactive and planned maintenance works, with a secure storage facility to allow access to view various certification records online via our web based i-folders.
